Just when David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) thought that heâd got rid of the unhinged Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown), Coronation Streetâs answer to Fatal Attraction is back to wreck his marriage to her sister Shona (Julia Goulding).
David and Shonaâs relationship was strained long before Jodie showed up.
The iconic Coronation Street couple had been facing difficulties ever since they found out that their premature baby Harper would require life-threatening surgery.
Like a gobby Mary Poppins, Shonaâs estranged sister Jodie showed up seemingly when the couple needed her the most and did everything she could to help with the baby.
Mary Poppins?Scary Poppins More like. The bunny boiling baddie soon showed her true colours by pouring poison in their daughter Lilyâs (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) parenting skills, and took every opportunity to cosy up to David. This was all part of an elaborate, grand revenge scheme to punish Shona for abandoning her by running away from their dysfunctional family home when they were kids.

However, the crazed cuckoo in the nest came a cropper after her attempt to seduce a drunken David while posing as her sister (yep, that happened) predictably backfired. Furious, David branded her nuts, confessed the whole sorry debacle to Shona and kicked Jodie out.

It didnât take long for the manipulative little madam to find a new gullible patsy to stay with, or as that gullible patsy prefers to be known â Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).
The tortured headmaster of Weatherfield High has sunk into a booze-fuelled depression after it came to light that his girlfriend Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) had been sexually abusing one of his students, Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale). In return for not telling his family about how badly he was spiralling, Daniel agreed to let Jodie be his flatmate.

Maybe he should have asked the Platts for a reference.
As soon as Danielâs son Bertie was ready to move back in and it was time for Jodie to move out, the scheming soap vixen concocted a dastardly plan to keep Daniel unstable and fragile enough to depend on her. She created an online persona called âTruthtellerâ to troll Daniel and spread vicious gossip suggesting that he knew about Meganâs abuse the whole time. She even tried to make Daniel suspect David of being âTruthtellerâ.

But once the truth is revealed and a betrayed Daniel angrily kicks Jodie to the curb, Shonaâs twisted sister will soon come crawling back to the Platts⌠where she will continue her plot to drive a wedge between Shona and David.
Thereâs trouble in paradise as David has a blazing row with Shona, and Jodie of all people offers him a friendly ear. a row with Shona, Jodie offers an ear. But then Jodie pushes things too far and canât help reminding him of the time he climbed into bed with her and claims he even said her name, so must have known it was her. Davidâs floored by Jodieâs words. Is she right?

Later, as he makes up with Shona, Davidâs guilt-stricken. Will he come clean?
The next day, Jodie continues to meddle in her sisterâs marriage by making a veiled dig at David about saying her name which makes him squirm.
Worrie,David shares his worries with Maria Connorâs (Samia Longchambon), who advises him to come clean with Shona and tell her how Jodie reckons he called her by name. While Shona knows all about how Jodie tried to kiss David, she does not know all the details of the story⌠and thereâs no telling how she will react.
Will David take Mariaâs advice?
