Max Fox became one of the most memorable singers on Britain’s Got Talent 2025 after taking an unexpected chance. While sitting in the audience, the Blackpool singer called out to Simon Cowell and asked for an opportunity to perform. Max had reportedly spent around 19 years trying to get in front of Simon.

Max walked onto the stage and performed Frank Sinatra’s “My Way.” His powerful performance quickly impressed the audience and judges.

Amanda Holden was so impressed that she pressed her Golden Buzzer, sending Max directly to the live semi-finals. His unusual audition soon became a viral moment.

The Judges’ Reaction

At first, the judges were surprised by Max suddenly asking to audition. Simon Cowell even questioned whether the moment had been planned.

Once Max began singing, their attitude changed. Amanda Holden gave him the Golden Buzzer, while the other judges praised his voice and emotional performance.

Why Did He Sing “My Way” Again?

For the semi-final, Max originally planned to sing Elton John’s “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.” However, Simon Cowell advised him to perform “My Way” again because his first performance had become such a big moment.

Max followed the advice and returned with another performance of Sinatra’s classic.

Did Max Fox Win BGT?

No, Max did not win Britain’s Got Talent. However, he came very close to reaching the final.

He received 19.1% of the public vote in his semi-final and finished second. The 2025 winner was magician Harry Moulding, who won the £250,000 prize and the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance.

Max continued working as a professional singer and performer. He became involved with Cirque: The Greatest Show, a production combining live singing, musical theatre and circus performance.

Max Fox and America’s Got Talent

In 2026, Max tried to get another opportunity from Simon Cowell on America’s Got Talent. He again approached Simon from the audience and hoped to audition.

However, production reportedly told him that he could not audition because of scheduling issues. Max did not perform “My Way” on AGT.

He said he had planned to perform an original song called “Chasing The Horizon” if he had been allowed to audition.
